Playground Chimes

Playground Chimes, originally uploaded by richlayers.

I had such vague memories of playing at the Augusta Lake playground as I child. Mostly I remembered discovering that there was a speaker at each end of the playground, and if you talked into one, someone could easily hear you at the other, and vice versa. But looking around and taking pictures, a few more memories surfaced, including these chimes. I loved how this picture turned out, too.

Very cool pic!!! I didn't realize that they were chimes until I read the caption underneath. Originally, I thought it was a picture of building with really big columns!

Hehehe, I could see that.

I have a picture that's not nearly as close up, but I really liked the composition of this one.

Dude, your photos have gone from "check out what I saw while I was walking" to sophisticated works of art. You're so multi-talented, it's sickening. :)

I heard that doing something for an hour a day for five years is what it takes to become an expert. So does taking pictures during an hour long walk make me an expert walker or picture taker? (Excuse me: photographer.)

I did particularly like this one... but when you take 200 pictures in a day, there are bound to be one or two good ones.... Glad you liked it to! :)
