Earth Week!

Hey in case you forgot, Earth Day is April 22nd! That means it's Earth Week! So let's make a big deal of it for once instead of letting it slip by unnoticed again... at least this week: recycle, turn off some lights, walk somewhere instead of driving!

It is really crappy that the US society does not provide much to enable people to be green. I would gladly take public transportation, carpool, or even walk/ride a bike if it were plausible. I know that would help out immensely.

Yeah. Another LJer I know was griping about the impracticality of installing solar panels to his house. You'd think that would be something not unreasonably difficult but he couldn't even find basic pricing.

It is pretty expensive to do as well. Going green is not cheap.
