Politically Satisfied

Of course, of COURSE, we'll have to wait and see what he DOES. But I am reassured and gladdened by Obama's oration; he is a masterful speaker. I can't help but feel that someone who is that well spoken will be decisive and make intelligent choices. Yes, I voted for Obama and have been in favor of him since he first came to my attention in the news. It will be an interesting few years, for certain. So... we'll see how it goes.

And while all of what he said was encouraging and heartening, I think my favorite part, the part that sums up for me best the entire political climate and everything that he said, was:

“On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord."

Yes, I do like that he invites everyone to the table. I like that he keeps dialogs going with people on whom I've given up hope. Maybe he's right, after all.
